terrapinjam99
Hello , I just purchased a used 2022 Special QM, Baked Maple, Solar is actually " floating " , and it not supposed to be floating like that. The block is not sitting against the wood inside the cavity. As such - the D-Tuna cant work the way its supposed to because when you push down on D-Tuna it pushes the whole assy down. So I am looking for some input on this. I am not sure if the previuos owner changed it to floating, but these are supposed to be setup to where you can ONLY push down ( dive ) the Floyd. I am looking for any input on this. Thanks

terrapinjam99
Thanks, so yes that confirms that this Wolf Special should be " dive " only ( and not floating ) per the manual , but is that achived by the back of the Floyd decking against the body - OR by the trem block inside the cavity butting up again the body inside the trem cavity ? Wish I could see the inside of the trem cavity of a Wolfgang as it should be ( ie dive only )so I can see how that is achived out of the factory. Im just wondering why this one that I just purchased is floating? Thanks
BOZO
you can also try lowering the Floyd's studs, until it fits into the carve out https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/floyd-rose-setup-guide/
